Development of VOKEB

The purpose of this study is to develop a standardized assessment tool that can accurately evaluate the vocabulary abilities of children exposed to a Korean–English bilingual environment. To this end, the study aims to develop test items that measure both receptive and expressive vocabulary skills in Korean and English, while taking into account bilingual children’s language experience and contexts of use. In addition, the study seeks to establish an integrated evaluation framework that reflects cross-linguistic interaction between the two languages.
